
Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) is a public research university located in Kaunas, Lithuania, and one of the largest and oldest technological university in Baltics, ranked: second in Lithuania and 751+ in the world by QS World University Ranking. Today the University has 10 895 students: 7 895 undergraduates, 2 648 graduates, 566 international students, and 352 post-graduates.
There are more than 130 000 Alumni at this moment. The University employs more than 800 academic staff members. KTU delivers first, second and third cycle studies in the areas of technology, natural, social sciences, humanities, and art.
KTU is a member of many international associations (EUA, CESAER, EUCEN, SEFI, EAIE, EDEN, Global Compact, IACEE, UICEE, BALTECH, ATUBS). KTU is a partner in international research programme projects (H2020 (previously in FP6, FP7) EUREKA, EUROSTARS, COST) and collaborates with such global organizations of public and private sectors as NATO, UNESCO, BASF SE, Samsung, Hitachi, ThermoFisher Scientific and other. Teachers, researchers and staff the consult the UNDP, the UN and other international organizations, professors are involved in the doctoral dissertation defence committees of the EU and CIS countries.
